It all started on a cold night on the mean streets of Bon Air. Proud soon-to-be parents let the music play a little louder to sooth their first son as he was close to entering the world. On the eve of the last Super Bowl win for the Steelers young Underdog gave his parents more reason to celebrate. As Terry led the black and gold, DJ Underdog was delivered. Kicking and screaming, the only solace for this young child was music to ease his heavy cries. Little did his parents know this was just the beginning.

Again as a young boy, UD got placed on his first punishment for taking out of Mommy and Daddy's records to play for the babysitter. How was he supposed to know needles could scratch records? And why leave records in their covers? It just makes them harder to get to! This "problem" continued into his teenage years. He had to depend on television and radio to keep him informed. He remembers having to leave wherever he was so he could make it home in time to tape videos no matter what the channel. This got DJ Underdog in a lot of trouble if it led to taping over mom's "Guiding Light" tapes.

DJ 5th Ace and I go back to times when "Ormbsy Avenue" NBA jerseys were created, and when basketball games amongst friends turned into backyard battles. In experiences with 5th Ace Entertainment, I always noticed that music remained such a mainstay in our everyday lives. Whether Frank Sinatra, Earl Simmons, or Luther Vandross (mom's favorite), the sounds of the radio became the sounds of my household.

My entire life I have been told to "Turn that music down!", but I never could and never will. Music has marked many memorable times in my life, and ironically my own son is soothed to certain sounds (Isn't that the rule that you get one just like you?) Did you ever notice how you remember a song from a fun experience, or even the song from your wedding or event? As a part of 5th Ace Entertainment, I want to be part of your memories and events, just as 5th Ace Entertainment has been a part of mine. Let us be the soundtrack to all of your party, wedding, and event needs, and I promise they won't be ones you'll soon forget.
